Just a solid local sushi spot. It’s really chill, the service is great and the fish is super fresh. Bring your friends but don’t tell too many people or we won’t be able to get a table 😭

First time trying out this place was traveling southwest downtown, while in the middle I was enjoying my meal, the food is delicious. I realized they only take cash. But the kind lady told me if I was short on cash I can use atm with no fee. Mind you I have self cautions about public’s atm. The total came up to like 23.94 something so it’s basically close to 24 dollars and the rest of the change they took it. I don’t really want to use my card on atm it just the experience from the world but I told her I only have 25 and she lucky let me go and told me next time I can order from the app they take the card payment for pick up and delivery. I was abit scared because I didn’t carry that much cash with me but I don’t think I’ll consider to come back.

Kyushu is truly one of South Philly’s best hidden gems tucked right in the Italian Market. The space has a cozy, dimly lit ambiance that instantly sets the mood, making it feel intimate and special. Service was excellent from start to finish, attentive, friendly, and never rushed. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. If you love discovering low key spots that feel like a secret, this place is absolutely worth finding. Highly recommend checking it out.

Came here yesterday to try the lunch special in person. Nice staff and service is quick. Went with the 3 roll special with spicy salmon, tuna n eel avocado rolls with the salad. Salad was good to start tho would have enjoyed the miso too. Got the gyoza fried which was ok. Made me miss the ones from neighborhood ramen rip lol Sushi was ok I liked the crunchy salmon, tuna was ok both had fishy after taste which made me wish I got something else lol. The eel was the best of the lot. I’d try again but wouldn’t go out of my way to do so but it’s about 16 min walk lol. I’d try again for the ramen maybe lol

A very pleasant establishment situated on ninth Street within the Italian market. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and presented with menus. Our server was incredibly amiable. However, there was a slight language barrier that hindered communication. Uncertain if the dishes adhered to traditional recipes, I requested certain substitutions which may not have been fully understood. Nonetheless, she was accommodating and went out of her way to inquire about ingredients in sauces and dressings. The menu does offer clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options, although the details of the sauces and dressings in vegan dishes require additional clarification. One of my companions opted for the Takatsu Ramen and found it to be delectable. We also shared an order of pan-fried dumplings that were vegan - satisfactory, but not the best we've had. Personally, I chose the avocado Machi roll, which was outstanding. Filled with avocados and peanuts, it came with a side of Sriracha that complemented the dish perfectly with its sweet-and-spicy kick. The avocado salad, on the other hand, was mediocre. Slices of fresh avocado were accompanied by black and white sesame seeds over a bed of iceberg
